The Hume & Hovell Ultra is an ultra marathon conducted along part of the Hume & Hovell Walking Track.
The walking track follows as closely as possible the historic route taken by Explorers Hume & Hovell on their 1824 expedition to Port Phillip Bay!
Starting and finishing at Henry Angel Trackhead event village. The track is a mixture of constructed walking track and fire trails with the highest point is over 1200 metres in elevation and has many scenic natural attraction along the course including Buddong Falls, Paddys River Dam, alpine snow gums, and Mannus Lake.
The event is being organised by members of Wagga Wagga Road Runners. Event Director Peter Fitzpatrick is an accomplished distance runner for many years. The event is supported by the Australian Ultra Runners Association Inc (AURA) with an IAU Bronze ranking and recognised by International Trail Running Assoc (ITRA) with this race being a qualifier for many overseas events as well as gaining UTMB points!
